Privacy Policy

HalftoneDots is designed so that the image editor can do its work inside your browser. This policy explains what the current site does and does not collect, what may appear in ordinary hosting logs, and what happens when you contact us by email.

Images stay in the browser

When you choose a JPG, PNG, or WebP file in the generator, browser code reads the file and creates the preview on your device. The selected file, its pixels, filename, and embedded metadata are not sent to a HalftoneDots application server. The editor does not call an AI image service.

PNG and SVG exports are assembled in the browser and passed to your browser’s download function. HalftoneDots does not receive a copy of the exported artwork. Your browser, operating system, download folder, backup software, or organization may keep its own copy according to settings that we do not control.

Cookies, storage, and language choice

The current HalftoneDots application does not set advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or an account cookie. It does not save editor projects, uploaded images, or generator settings in localStorage or sessionStorage. Reloading the page resets the working session.

Choosing a language opens a language-specific URL. The site does not currently store that choice as a preference. A browser, extension, network proxy, or hosting layer may provide independent caching or privacy features; those products follow their own settings and policies.

Ordinary server and security logs

Loading a web page necessarily sends a request to the server or hosting network. Ordinary request logs may include an IP address, request time, requested path, response status, referrer, and browser user-agent. These logs can be used to deliver the site, diagnose failures, prevent abuse, and protect the service.

Log availability and retention depend on the production hosting configuration. They are separate from the local image-processing path: the web request can identify which page or asset was requested, but the generator does not attach your selected image to that request.

What happens when you email us

If you write to support@halftonedots.com, you choose to send us your email address, message, signature, and any attachment you include. We use that information to read the request, investigate the issue, reply, and keep enough context to handle follow-up messages. Our email provider may process and retain the message as part of operating the inbox.

Avoid sending source images, confidential client work, passwords, payment information, or other sensitive material unless it is necessary to explain your request. You can ask us to correct or delete a support message; we will review the request against any security, abuse-prevention, or legal need to keep limited records.

Downloads and third-party services

HalftoneDots serves its interface, examples, fonts, and downloadable assets as part of the site. If a future page links to another website, that destination can receive the usual request information when you open it and will apply its own privacy policy. A link does not give the destination access to an image that remains inside the HalftoneDots editor.

The current version does not sell personal information and does not run behavioral advertising. If analytics, accounts, cloud image processing, or a contact form is added later, this policy should be updated before those features are used to collect new categories of information.

Policy changes and privacy questions

We may update this page when the product, hosting setup, or legal obligations change. The date shown at the top identifies the version published on this site. Material product changes should be reflected here in plain language rather than hidden behind a broad statement.

For a privacy question or a request concerning an email you sent, contact support@halftonedots.com. Include the address you used and enough detail to identify the conversation. Do not send a copy of your private source image merely to ask whether browser processing is local.
