Rules for using the site
Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use the HalftoneDots website, browser-based generator, guides, and downloadable texture library. They explain the practical boundaries of the service, the rights you need in source material, and the difference between a visual effect and production-ready print work.

Using HalftoneDots
By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the generator or download the library assets. You must be legally able to accept these terms for yourself or have authority to accept them for the person or organization you represent.
HalftoneDots is a creative utility. The current editor runs without an account and processes selected images in the browser. The service may change as controls, formats, guides, downloads, or infrastructure are improved.
Your source images and permissions
You are responsible for every image you choose and for the way you use the result. Use photographs, illustrations, logos, and other material only when you own the necessary rights or have permission to edit and publish them. A technical ability to load a file does not create a copyright, trademark, publicity, or privacy right.
Do not use the site to create unlawful, deceptive, harassing, or infringing material. Do not submit content that violates another person’s privacy or contractual obligations. Because source files remain local in the current editor, HalftoneDots does not review or approve them for you.
Generated PNG and SVG output
HalftoneDots does not claim ownership of a PNG or SVG that the browser generates from your source image and settings. Your rights in that file still depend on the rights you had in the source and on any third-party material it contains. A halftone conversion does not automatically make an unauthorized source lawful to use.
You may use generated files in personal or commercial projects when you have the necessary source rights. You are responsible for reviewing the output for unintended detail, identifying information, brand conflicts, accessibility needs, and suitability for the intended audience.
Downloadable texture library
The procedural texture files offered in the HalftoneDots library are free to use in personal and commercial designs. You may edit them, recolor them, combine them with other work, and include them as part of a larger finished design.
Do not resell or redistribute an unmodified asset or an unmodified ZIP pack as a competing texture download. This restriction applies to the library files supplied by HalftoneDots and does not take ownership of the separate source image or project that you bring to the generator.
Acceptable technical use
Do not interfere with the site, probe it for unauthorized access, bypass reasonable limits, distribute malware through it, or use automated traffic in a way that prevents other people from using the service. Normal browsing, search indexing, accessibility tools, and reasonable testing are permitted.
We may restrict access when necessary to protect the service, investigate abuse, comply with law, or recover from a technical incident. A restriction does not transfer responsibility for your local source files or downloaded copies to HalftoneDots.
Printing and professional production
The generator creates a visual halftone effect. It does not perform press preflight, color separation, trapping, ink-limit analysis, screen-mesh selection, or printer calibration. A preview that looks correct on screen may reproduce differently because of paper, ink spread, plate or mesh resolution, viewing distance, and production tolerances.
Ask the printer or production partner for its required color space, resolution, minimum mark size, screen angle, file format, and proofing process. You are responsible for testing the export before approving a print run, manufactured item, paid campaign, or other costly use.
Availability and warranties
The site is provided on an as-available basis. We work to keep it useful, but do not promise uninterrupted access, permanent storage, perfect rendering in every browser, or compatibility with every design and production workflow. Keep your own source files and copies of important exports.
To the extent allowed by applicable law, HalftoneDots is not responsible for indirect loss caused by relying on an untested export, losing a local file, using material without permission, or treating the tool as professional print-preflight software. Nothing in these terms excludes a right that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes and questions
We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top identifies the current published version. Continued use after an update means the new terms apply from that point. For a question about these terms, asset rights, or a specific permitted use, email support@halftonedots.com.
